Mike Mignola did do designs on an animated feature. Disney`s Atlantis The Lost Empire. It`s a beautiful film and you can see his influence on that. Disney had millions of dollars and years to work on the feature. The DC animations are produced on a relative shoe-string so I imagine that`s why that don`t try to imitate comic artists. However, they did imitate Ed McGuiness in Batman/ Superman: Public Enemies.
